Smartwatch game-based solution for teaching vocabulary to Autism Children
Ideation & Problem
Awesome was really an awesome project for me to work on, another project for kids. In this small project, we aimed to design an (iOS, Android) smartwatch game-based solution for teaching vocabulary (English and Malay) to Autism Children living in Malaysia.
User Research & Solution
We did the user research and data collection in different cities of Malaysia. For designing this game, we not only did research on autistic children and their abilities but also consulted education specialties for children with special needs to explore autisms’ needs and pain points.
Design & Wireframing
In this project, we prioritized simplicity to minimize the cognitive load required of autistic kids. We did the paper first and then applied Figma for high fidelity wireframing.
Evaluation & Testing
For the evaluation, we run a few user studies to get feedback from three different groups of autism kids, their parents as well as teachers in order to assess the usability of the application.
